I got lucky once. I bought a house in a neighborhood of Philadelphia right before said neighborhood exploded with beer garden bars, farm-to-table restaurants, boilerplate condos, and hipsters (well, the hipsters were around before it was cool of course). Now my house is worth more than I paid. It seemed now might be a great time to take advantage of this financial opportunity, semi-quit my job, and temporarily hit the road. So I decided to do just that. Thanks Fishtown!
It’s probably a bit more convoluted, but details, schmetails. I’m setting out to see this great country, explore our national parks, reconnect with old friends and family, and leave the rest up to circumstance and a fairly poor sense of direction. Along the way, I’ll be looking for tips, recommendations, cautionary tales, and any other nuggets of knowledge.
Happy trails!
